A Week of Car and Motorcycle Shows Heading to Laughlin

It’s going to be a busy month for car and motorcycle enthusiasts who have their pick on where to see some hot vehicles with several properties in town hosting shows. April 19-21, the Avi is headquarters for the “13th Annual River Cruizers Hot Rods & Harleys” car and motorcycle show. Highlighted will be a Show ‘n’ Shine featuring classics, muscle cars and bikes, a poker run and vendors. Live music will be on Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Hours for the free show are Thursday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to dusk and 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday. The same identical dates, April 19-21, the Trop will be home to the 25th annual “Gambler Classic River Run and Car Show” and sock hop in the north parking lot. At the Riverside Resort, April 20-22, you will see over 300 Corvettes on display during the All Corvette Gambler’s Classic Car Show sponsored by the Corvettes of Bakersfield. The primary car show for the public to view is Saturday, April 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The vehicles will be displayed in six classes, C-1 through C-6. Other events include a Friday night dinner show, an afternoon Poker Run and a Saturday night awards ceremony and raffle for participants. Spring Fling Blackjack Tournament and Month-End Table Games Sweepstakes Drawing at Tropicana

Two great promotions are set for the Tropicana this month, the first one being the $10,000 Spring Fling Blackjack Tournament April 20-22. There are two ways to enter, either pay the $50 entry or play 10 hours of tracked table games before April 19 and you are in the deal. Your entry includes a wild card drawing ticket and a mulligan gift. Thousands of Bikers Invading Town to Celebrate Laughlin River Run’s 30th Anniversary

One event in Laughlin that doesn’t need a lot of publicity is the upcoming annual River Run. This year, April 25-29, marks the 30th anniversary of this highly popular motorcycle gathering that expects to see over 50,000 bike enthusiasts showing off their hogs and taking part in a slew of activities such as stunt shows; motorcycle exhibits; custom bike shows; vendors selling bike related leather clothing and just about anything that can be attached to a motorcycle. There will be the yearly Miss Laughlin River Run contest and the motorcycle trek to Oatman, Arizona. Rooms for the annual River Run will again be at a premium, the town is always sold out. The Pioneer is one resort to have a special celebration for attendees at River Run. April 25-29, they once again present their 7th annual Carnivale, promising 5 days of non-stop partying with free outdoor entertainment including an appearance by the Evil Clowns, Ses Carny and Professor Chumley. Also, the Pioneer will host a burn-out pit, live music during the day and parties each night. Along with sexy girls, bikini bull riding, and mud wrestling, plenty of food and beverages will be available for purchase. To ride off into the sunset on your own bike, the second Friday of every month is “Bike Night Laughlin” from 7-9 p.m. at Bikini’s Sports Bar in the Preferred Outlet Center on Casino Drive. A bike will be on display and raffled off during the River Run. At the Avi, they also have a River Run related event, “Thunder on the River 2012” scheduled for April 26-29 from 9 a.m. to dusk. A variety of events including entertainment and vendors selling bike merchandise will take over the resort’s parking lot. Across the river at Harley Davidson Community Park in Bullhead City, “Bikefest” will be held April 25-29. Day and evening events include :Battle of the Bands,” Harley rides; classic car shows; performances by a drill team; beer garden; poker run,; vendors; and the main reason for coming out, a Harley Davidson giveaway.


Non-Stop Fun at Belle and Edgewater’s Rock, Blues, Bikes, Babes & Ice Cold Brews Event

In conjunction with the River Run, the Colorado Belle and Edgewater will be presenting their Rock, Blues, Bikes, Babes & Ice Cold Brews event April 25-28. The legendary Ted Nugent will rock out in Edgewater’s E Center on April 27 with tickets starting at $45. Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of The Doors will perform on Saturday, April 28. General admission tickets begin at $45. More free live blues entertainment featuring Guitar Shorty, Preston Shannon, John Earl & The BoogieMan Band, Chris Hiatt & Gold Shot and The Bihlman Brothers will be showcased Thursday thru Saturday. To spice things up an enormous bar sponsored by the Hogs & Heifers Saloon in Las Vegas will feature dancing bartenders and go go dancers. On Saturday night the annual Bedroom Babes Contest will take place at the bar at 7 p.m. The Edgewater’s main entrance will feature a Mexican Cantina with bar and food plus twin DJ’s. Thursday-Saturday, the Inferno Nightclub will provide entertainment by the Ultimate Van Halen Tribute Band from 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Good news here; no cover charge. More fun and another late night comes your way with the Belle’s Pints Brewery & Sports Bar, open 24 hours a day, featuring a DJ and go go dancers from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. The Colorado Belle’s Poker Room will host the annual Poker Run Saturday with registration 8-10 a.m. and the annual Custom Bike Show will takes over the Riverwalk Deck on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bike registration is 8 a.m.


Riverside Resort’s “Kangaroo Kash” Promotion Coming to a Close

Members of the Riverside’s King of Clubs Players Club have until April 30 to participate in “Kangaroo Kash,” a plush animal giveaway with a random prize that could pay up to $5,000 in cash. Players will receive one stuffed animal for every 1,000 tracked points earned. Attached to each loveable kangaroo is a tag with a winning prize for free buffets, hotel stays, prime rib dinners and cash ranging from $100 to the top prize of $5,000.
