Tickets on sale for The Palazzo’s Lavish Las Vegas Epicurean Affair
Save the date for one of the swankiest dinners you will ever get a chance to go to. Returning for its third year in a row is the Las Vegas Epicurean Affair poolside at The Palazzo Thursday, May 24 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This event, sponsored by the Nevada Restaurant Association, is open to the public giving guests a chance to sample gourmet dining from famous Las Vegas chefs. General admission tickets priced at $100 and $150 for VIP will be on sale Wednesday, April 25. To complete the evening, private cabanas may be rented. Rich Little Begins Extended Run at the LVH
Comedian and impressionist Rich Little is bringing his one man show, “Jimmy Stewart & Friends” to the intimate Shimmer Cabaret inside the LVH for an extended engagement. Little’s show debuts Monday, April 30. The talented entertainer will feature more than 25 celebrity voices, including Gary Grant, George Burns, Ronald Reagan, Catherine Hepburn, John Wayne and other famous people. Performances will be Saturday-Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. with tickets running $63.90 for general seating and a $73.80 VIP package, which includes premium seating and a meet & greet with Little following the show. Circus Circus Inviting High School Graduates to Inaugural GradBlast 2012
Circus Circus’ Adventuredome is offering a safe place for high school graduates to party without the temptation of fast cars and drinking. The resort’s inaugural GradBlast 2012 event on Thursday, May 24 is open to all high school students from Southern Nevada, Southern Utah and California’s High Desert region. GradBlast2012 will be a Vegas-style graduation party for teens with unlimited thrill rides, four dance floors, prize giveaways, show tickets and a chance to win a 2012 Chevy Camaro valued at $25,000. The Pre-Blast begins at 7 p.m. and the main party gets into gear at 9 p.m. and continues until 2 a.m. Re-entry to the party is not permitted. New York New York Hosting Qualifier for Annual Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest
If you’re in town Saturday, April 28 you are in for some fun whether you participate or just join the crowds and watch. This is the day when New York New York Hotel & Casino hosts its 15th Annual qualifying contest for the 97th Annual Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest that takes place July 4th in Coney Island, New York. A special employees contest with a “Heroes” competition for charity will start the afternoon activities at 1 p.m. At 3 p.m. the real eliminations come into play with the male and female winners of the main event being crowned “Nevada Hot Dog Eating Champions” and will go on to represent Las Vegas in the July 4th finals. This event is free and open to the public. The eating frenzy takes place on the property’s Brooklyn Bridge.

The American Heart Association and Go Red for Women to hold Zipline Fund Raiser
Next Monday, March 30 from noon until midnight, all net proceeds from riding Fremont Street Experiences’ Flightlinez attraction will benefit The American Heart Association and Go Red for Women as they raise funds to educate women on this cardiovascular “silent killer” disease. Since 2011, Flightlinez and Fremont Street Experience have held many charitable fundraisers and to date have donated more than $200,000 to worthy organizations. Rides from noon until 6 p.m. are $15, and $20 from 6 p.m. to midnight. In the near future, zipline lovers are going to see four more zip attractions on the Strip. Approval has been granted to offer the rides from Excalibur to Luxor. Pretty soon you may see less foot traffic in the area and an abundance of fliers in the air!

A three month giveaway begins April 26 at Cosmopolitan giving player’s club members chance to win valuable Zappos gift cards and substantial cash. New Dining Options on the Strip
Carlos ‘n Charlie’s, the newest authentic Mexican cantina on the Strip is open for business at Flamingo Las Vegas. The new eatery not only serves great food but their entertainment level will keep customers coming back with dancing on chairs, singing skits and flair bartenders. Carlos ‘n Charlie’s is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Also just opened at Flamingo is a meat and potatoes lover’s favorite, the Center Cut Steakhouse featuring a large stylish bar and lounge which is open from noon to midnight daily with a 2-for-1 martini Happy Hour Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight. The dining room, accommodating up to 172 guests is open daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. offering a wide variety of not only prime steaks but rack of lamb, chicken and Alaskan king crab legs.
