Planet Hollywood’s Holly Madison Ending her Run in PEEPSHOW in December 

After three and a half years, Las Vegas’ blond bombshell Holly Madison will end her contract as star of PEEPSHOW at Planet Hollywood on December 30, 2012. Madison will continue her role through her closing date and the lavish production, the only striptease extravaganza in Las Vegas, will remain at the resort following her departure. No word yet on who will replace Madison.

 

Las Vegas Honoring Dad on Father’s Day 

Coming up next Sunday, June 17 is Father’s Day and if you are lucky enough to be in town for the occasion you will find plenty of things to keep dads of all ages busy. PBR Rock Bar & Grill at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops will honor dad’s with free mechanical bull rides and kids along for the outing will eat for free all day from the “Rookies’ menu with the purchase of one adult entrée. Father’s can celebrate Father’s Day on the outdoor patio at RHUMBAR at The Mirage. For $20, guests can pair a favorite cocktail with a house cigar. For a reasonably priced family celebration, celebrate the holiday at Red Rock Resort’s LBS Burger Joint where dads can order “Pints for Pops,’- $3 draft beers all day long. The burgers here are to die for and priced at just $13.50 with all the mouth-watering ingredients. For a day of entertainment, get over to M Resort Spa Casino where they will be holding the All-Day Summer Jam 2012 Concert and Poolside Party beginning at noon. Now, if you are looking for a real meal deal, on June 17, downtown’s Gold Spike gets the top award! A Father’s Day Rib-eye Special only runs $20 for two guests. One more place to take the king of the house to is Madame Tussauds Las Vegas at The Venetian. On June 17, all father’s will get a free admission with the purchase of a child or general adult ticket. KISS By Monster Mini Golf, a fun glow-in-the-dark attraction based on the legendary band KISS will be offering half-priced miniature golf and a free KISS gift on June 17. A Chance to Gamble at Famed Moulin Rouge 

Depending upon your age, you may or may not recall Las Vegas’ first integrated hotel casino the Moulin Rouge. Well, after being closed for many years, new life has surfaced with the announcement that is has finally been bought and hopefully will be up and running in the near future. To keep the site’s gaming license current, they plan to erect a “tent casino” on the site for an 8 hour period on June 19. According to Nevada Gaming regulations, you can keep your gaming license “alive” by operating a casino on the site of a closed property for eight hours every two years.

 

INSIDE TIP: Regal UA, a movie theater on the Strip near MGM Grand has a summer special going on where you can catch the latest flicks for only $6.50 all day Sunday and Tuesday and Friday and Saturday after 11 p.m.

 

Ria Ra Las Vegas and Summerlin’s Rampart Casino Hosting European Football Championship Viewing Parties 

Soccer fans are invited to Ri Ra Las Vegas located at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place for televised coverage of the 2012 European Football Championships. During the final on Sunday, July 1, Ri Ra will be giving away two tickets to see the LA Galaxy in action at The Home Depot Center in Los Angeles. For every pint of beer purchased during the viewing parties, patrons will receive an entry for the drawing. During June, Ri Ra Las Vegas is offering Las Vegas locals 40% off drinks from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and lunch and dinner items every Friday. Soccer fans are also invited to J.C. Woolughans’s Irish Pub inside the Rampart Casino in Summerlin for televised coverage of the European games. $2 specials on select draft beers will be available during all tournament matches. Pool-Play will continue through Tuesday, June 19, followed by the elimination rounds from June 21-28. The championship game will be held Sunday, July 1.

 

M Resort Introduces Double Action Roulette to Inventory of Exciting Table Games 

There’s a new table game getting plenty of play at M Resort with the addition of Double Action Roulette. This variation of the traditional game was previously only in Europe, but now it is being offered exclusively at M Resort. The difference is that there is the addition of a second number ring on the wheel. This second ring rotates in the opposite direction to the main ring. The best way to learn the new format is to cash in a few bucks and give it a try with instruction from the dealer.

 

El Cortez Extends Benefits to Friends of Smith Center 

El Cortez is welcoming friends of downtown’s newest entertainment venue, The Smith Center for Performing Arts, by extending on-property benefits to patrons of the theater. Individuals showing an official “Friends of the Smith Center” card or Smith Center show tickets and stubs on the same date as a performance can receive a $10 discount on any entrée at The Flame Steakhouse, a complimentary cocktail inside The Parlour, and a free additional night’s stay after booking a one-night stay at El Cortez. The Smith Center, a real boon to the downtown area showcases Broadway-style productions and right now they are preparing for WICKED which opens August 29 and plays through October 7. Free Entertainment at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops 

Volcom inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood will be hosting free entertainment by Hawaiian rock band PEPPER on Friday, June 15 at 5 p.m. While you are exploring the shopping complex be sure and check out the five new stores that have recently opened. Miracle Mile Shops are open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and l0 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
