“Chef’s Food Fest” Fund-Raiser on Way to Aquarius
If you are heading up to the river on Thursday, June 21 you will find the annual “Chefs’ Food Fest” in full swing at Aquarius Casino Resort. The ballroom will be overrun by Laughlin resort and local restaurant chefs who will be preparing their best creations from exotic appetizers to decadent desserts for patrons to sample from buffet tables. The cooking extravaganza begins at 5:30 p.m. with tickets available through the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce on Casino Drive (702) 298-2214) at $50 per person. Entertainment will be provided by Matt Farris and his Kinfolk Band. All guests must be at least 21 years of age.
Riverside’s “All-American Summer Ticket to Ride” Giveaway Coming to Close
A big car giveaway underway at the Riverside Resort comes to an end June 25. Their “All-American Summer Ticket to Ride” promo continues to award 2012 GMC Sierras; Buick Veranos; and Chevy Equinoxe models. In lieu of the cars, winners have the option of taking home $20,000 in cash. Also cash prizes of $2,500 will be given away. Riverside’s Entertainment Line up Includes Australian Bee Gees and Texas Country Showdown

Edgewater’s E Center Bringing in Top Entertainment
Great entertainment has been confirmed by Edgewater’s E Center. Kicking things off is Kenny Loggins in for his one-night concert, Saturday, June 30 at 7 p.m. with tickets available for $25, $35, $55 and $65. Next up is Montgomery Gentry, July 6 at 8 p.m. Tickets are going for $25, $55, $65 and $80. Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo take center stage July 13 at 8 p.m. with tickets on sale for $25, $35, $55 and $65. A Labor Day Weekend concert features Kellie Pickler on Saturday, September 1 at 8 p.m. with tickets beginning at $25. GOZIP Pirate Cove Opens in Laughlin Area
Something new for the family, GOZIP Pirate Cove had their soft opening earlier this month. Located just 21 miles from Laughlin, off historic Route 66 in Needles, the new venue will eventually offer four attractions including the “Plank Walk Powerfan, O Freefall,” an 80-foot “Bosun Swing”, the high-speed “Rum Runner” motorized zip line and “Pirates Quest” zip line tour. The guided “Pirates Quest” tour will include five zip lines ranging from 312 feet to 1,300 feet, two towers and one 80-foot suspension bridge. The complete tour, accommodating 10 guests at a time takes about two hours to complete. GOZIP Pirate Cove will operate Monday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. seasonally. Tickets are $45 plus tax. Three-activity ticket packages will set you back $120. Prices for the “Pirates Quest” zip line tour are $99. Riders must be at least 8 years old and weight at least 50 pounds.
