“Fun in the Sun Beer Pong Tournament” Plus Sizzlin’ Summer Fun Packages at Colorado Belle

On Saturday, July 28, the Colorado Belle will be hosting an exciting “Fun in the Sun Beer Pong Tournament” on “D” Deck inside the casino. The event is presented by Ocean Grown Pong of Corona, California and is a fundraiser for the Chanel Johnson Charity with 50/50 raffles and prizes awarded by the Belle. Sign-ups begin at 2:30 p.m. with the tournament getting underway at 4:30. The entry is $40 a team in advance or $50 at the door. The 1st place prize is a four-night hotel stay in Las Vegas with a chance of winning $65,000 in the World Series of Beer Pong. Avi Hosting Free Roll Poker Tournament

Beginning Wednesday, August 1 and continuing through September 1, the place to play poker is the Avi where they will be hosting their month-long Free Roll Tournament with a generous $5,000 prize pool. The top seventy players with the most hours accumulated from 12 a.m. in the poker room will win free entries into the Thursday, September 6 no-limit Texas Hold’em event that will begin at 1 p.m. A minimum of 50 hours are necessary to qualify for a free entry into the tournament and those players not getting their required hours in will have to cough up the $200 entry fee. The top ten players will win a portion of the prize money.

Summer Blackjack Tournament on the Books for the Golden Nugget

Thousand Expected for Annual “Bullhead City River Regatta”

Laughlin will be welcoming thousands of people in town for the sixth annual “Bullhead City River Regatta set for August 10-11. The theme for this year’s event is “True to the Red, White & Blue!” Teams are busy putting the final touches on the themed floats that will sail down the Colorado River in this colorful nautical display. Anything that floats, from inner tubes, kayaks, canoes and other non-motorized vessels are acceptable to drift down the river. The festivities begin on Friday, August 10 with a Kayak, Canoe and Standup Paddleboard Race/Float as well as the evening Regatta Pre-Party. Several resorts in town have Regatta packages available. Aquarius Casino Resort is charging $349.99 (plus tax) for a two-night stay August 10-11. Included is a king bed room, two entries into the event, two inner tubes and 2 life jackets. Registration Underway for Karaoke Seniors USA Contest at the Riverside

If you have a decent set of pipes and are 50 years of age or older, you can put your talents to good use by registering for the inaugural Karaoke Seniors USA contest that will be held inside the Riverside’s Starview Room Sunday, August 26 through Wednesday, August 29. The fee to enter is $250 and includes a four-night stay at the resort. The contest will consist of two music categories: Oldies/Rock and Country/Blues for both male and female competitors. Contestants who are professional singers or have won a national or karaoke contest within the last year are not eligible. The top male and female singers will win $1,000 each with $500 and $250 going to the second and third place respectfully. Trophies will be awarded to the twelve winning contestants.
